Members of Niff attended an event at Northampton Bangladeshi Association to mark Bangladesh Independence Day which fell on March 26th. The focus was on the children so that they knew about how Bangladesh became independent.
Huge numbers of people were killed or displaced.
The children enjoyed our Inter Faith Quiz and did remarkably well.
The importance of understanding different faiths and having respect for people of other faiths was highlighted.
The event both remembered the terrible conflict leading up to the independence and celebrated the achievement of independence.
