On Saturday 4 March, International Women’s Day was held in the Guildhall between 11am and 3pm, in the Great Hall and the Court Room. There were over thirty stalls, representing different women’s voluntary groups, charities and official bodies, which also reflected the diversity of Northampton. There were many musical performances, and awards for the achievements of women in different organisations. The event was well attended by both women and men, and there was a real buzz. The NIFF stall attracted quite a lot of interest, and we were able to explain what we do to our visitors. A very inspirational event.
